Pediatric Dental Assistant

Carolina Orthodontic and Children's Dentistry strives to deliver outstanding specialty oral health care to our patients and to provide them with the care and guidance necessary to have a lifetime of healthy smiles. 

Our commitment is to support you with state of the art technology including, and use the highest level of PPE available keeping our team and patients safe. Our mask types are N95 and surgical, double masking technique, and surgical caps.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to); assist the dentist in both administrative and clinical duties including: prepare patient for procedure or exam, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, and prepare materials and assist during dental procedures. Provide patient and practice support services; including but not limited to, personal assistance, medical attentions and emotional support.

Schedule: Hours are Monday - Thursday 8 am - 5pm and Fridays 8 am - 3 pm.

Education and Experience:

• Dental Assistant and BLS/CPR certifications required.
• Current radiography, coronal polishing and Nitrous Oxide certifications required.
• Maintains annual OSHA, HIPAA, BLS and infection control training as required by law.
• Minimum of 1-year experience in pediatric dentistry strongly preferred.
• Experience assisting in operating room procedures preferred.
• Must enjoy working with children, adolescents, patients with specials needs and parents.
• Willingness to cross train for administrative duties and orthodontic assisting.
